Big lose for sure....he had done one heck of a job building the program. I thought this might be the sport VT broke through with a Natty.

He could be the next Woody Baron, or he could lose too much of his speed while bulking up to be an every-down contributor going forward:

Obviously the most likely outcome is somewhere in between, and with the Hokies' staff, I think it's likely closer to the former than the latter.

Sort of a weird situation here, since he's such a fast riser (and I hadn't previously watched enough film to realize he was that good). VT is a strong leader for Dax Hollifield, and would probably take Keshon Artis for political/pipeline reasons... is there room for a third linebacker in what should be a smaller class? Even one as good as Wilson? Or would the Hokies pass on one of the other two to fit Wilson in the class? Lot of questions yet to be answered.

I like VT to complete the sweep against Clemson, but it's pretty easy to see a couple ways in which things could go (slightly) sideways:

A win here, and I think they're in the tournament. A loss, and they probably need to win one against Miami/Wake in the last two in addition to the should-win against a bad BC squad.

Came up a little short. Playing only 7 guys when Louisville is rolling 11-12 deep. Would have been an epic win but it was a very entertaining game nonetheless.

Coach Dresser leaving VT for Iowa State at end of season. This really sucks. He put VT wrestling back on the map. Gonna be hard to replace him.
