He’s definitely got an uphill battle to be drafted (he’s the most obvious guy that coming back would have been mutually beneficial to the Hokies - but almost even more for him personally), but he’ll do everything he can to hear his name called.

I’ll have a full story in the morning, but this was unfortunately predictable as soon as the offer came through. The good news for BT is that Teerlinck was doing the vast majority of the position coaching (which makes it sort of a weird hire for the 49ers). Unfortunately, Tapp had been a massive asset on the recruiting trail, and he’ll be tough to replace in that regard.
Not a ton of hot targets in here, but for a number of them, it's early enough in the process that when others fall by the wayside, VT will ramp up attention:

A guard/tackle who could fill out depth on the OL (and potentially compete for a starting spot). Has two years of eligibility remaining, plus the free year due to the eligibility freeze.
I think you can safely assume that there's a little more resume-building to do before he's a serious candidate for NFL gigs, but it's only a matter of time before one of these rumors blossoms into much more serious pursuit by an NFL team:
