Keandre Lambert sets commitment date

I’ve long said VT will be in this one until the end - and still feel that way - but the timing doesn’t give me warm fuzzies. It’s been a while since he visited Blacksburg.

The Hokies feel OK about it, but the impression I get from our UNC people is that the staff in Chapel Hill is confident, as well. We shall see. I’ll try to catch up with Keandre in the coming days (but he’s basically gone quiet for a couple months, so I’ll be pleasantly surprised if I can get him on the record before decision day).

Column from Saturday's win

After one night to sleep on it, a re-watch yesterday, and then another night to sleep on it, I come away far less negative than I had been. Still a lot to improve (particularly in having the mettle to close out games, and of course in the quarterback being able to execute anything other than a beautiful deep ball and some solid scrambles), but with Furman coming up this weekend, and then a Duke team that hasn't shown much yet, this season can build some positive momentum, even if the second half wasn't pretty:

Hokies earn the win, but there's still plenty of room for improvement

Coaching?

How can we keep putting this type of product on the field. We are not progressing and this is very worrisome. At what point (with all things in consideration) do we starting looking for a new head man? Recruiting is atrocious, play calling is atrocious, and we aren’t getting anywhere with this regime. How soon will the talk start?
