Getting to work on some 2018 recruiting look-aheads, and am simply stunned how few seniors the Hokies will have this year. The 2018 team should be extremely experienced, with plenty of senior starters (of course, you could have said at this time last year that VT would have Evans, Hodges, Ford returning in 2017, so maybe counting one's chickens before they're hatched is unwise).

Point being, 2016 was supposed to be the down year with 2017 the first great year under Fuente. Thanks to those "big three" losses, 2017 may not be the leap forward we were expecting, but it's setting up 2018 to be a huge year on the field. As long as offensive linemen (potentially 3-4 senior starters this year) and cornerbacks (Facyson and Stroman in their final year this Fall - though there isn't the depth behind them to give me much confidence) are ready to go in 2018, basically every other position will have returning starters and returning depth.

Intentions were made known last night from one of our top commits. VT is still in contact with him as much as they can be. This one is surprising as they were not worried about losing him and he straight up told them as much.
