Now any chance we can flip Khalan Laborn? We lost one RB to transfer, and another might be done for good (Williams). There should be plenty of carries available for whoever comes over the next 2 years and beyond, especially someone of Khalan's caliber. The staff needs to work him hard.

There have been a lot of questions about the new staff's ability to recruit. I think we are starting to get the answer. If a couple of things break our way this could be the best class we have ever had. Well done, coaches.

Along with renewed interest in the likes of Dazz Newsome (though VT seems to be looking up at North Carolina for the time being there) and Keontae Jenkins, it's clear that the coaching staff has re-evaluated their need at that position. It does not sound like diminishing confidence in any specific player already on the board is behind the change - just not enough lines in the water (which I've been pointing out in the hotboards since the end of the season, so it's been there for a little while).
