*** Early-week update on 4-star DE Jordan Williams

Hokiehaven.com has continued to track Virginia Beach (Va.) Cox four-star defensive end Jordan Williams (6-4, 260). Williams, as you know, is the No. 5 strongside end recruit in the nation and is rated 156th overall regardless of position nationally according to Rivals.com.

Over the last two weeks Williams has visited the campuses of Clemson and UVA. And several weeks ago he revealed a shortlist that included Virginia Tech, Clemson, Tennessee, UVA and Ohio State.

At this time we believe Clemson and UVA are ahead with Clemson holding a slight edge. Tennessee also remains under heavy consideration. We also know that Williams and VT have continued to communicate so for that reason we have continued to track his recruitment. And for the record, since revealing his top five, Williams has not in any way ruled out any of his finalists.

Williams told our officially licensed Clemson Web site - Tigerillustrated.com - last night that he will now render a decision on a school August 6. He also has just one visit left; Clemson. That's likely to occur the third Saturday in July. The Tigers also lost one of their top DE targets to Florida over the weekend, four-star Zach Carter of Tampa.

We will update everyone in the coming days/weeks if there are any new developments here in the way of VT, particularly with regard to a potential visit to Blacksburg. We think that would be necessary in order for VT to climb back into the forefront of his pecking order.

**** EVERYONE PLEASE READ: A note on Hokiehaven.com password sharing

As most of you know, yesterday's implementation of the soft login limitation (multiple logins per handle) was complete before 12pm EST.

We would strongly discourage sharing your Hokiehaven.com passwords with anyone, as you will be repeatedly knocked off the site when they attempt to log in with your password. We would also again ask everyone to encourage those who have been using your personal handles to please purchase a subscription to Hokiehaven.com.

The system does indeed account for logins on multiple devices. But again, if indeed a subscriber is sharing his/her password with someone, when that someone attempts to log in, the paying subscriber will indeed get knocked off.

If in the coming days you continue to be logged out, please change your password ... and guard it with your life. :)

A crackdown on simultaneous logins per handle/password sharing was something that was very much needed. We thank everyone for their understanding and cooperation.
