Early look at visitors for the weekend

As I noted on the radio yesterday, the weather is having an impact - especially but not exclusively on kids who live closer to the East Coast (i.e. the 757). Depending on how things develop over the Atlantic in the next couple days, some additions/deletions are possible.

I wouldn't expect an offer to be forthcoming - at least not yet - but he does have some ACC and Big Ten options on the table.

Login to view embedded media Linthicum told me earlier in the week that he was planning to see VT this weekend, but now he's not as sure. I'll provide an update when he knows. VT is in his final three with Michigan (leader) and Clemson (where 2020 five-star teammate Bryan Bresee is going), but way behind the other two.

Tech Lunch Pail was first to report that Brown would be joining him in Blacksburg if the visit does indeed happen.

Login to view embedded media Jeter already holds a Virginia Tech offer despite just beginning his freshman year. He'll be one to keep tabs on for years to come.

More additions - and possibly removals - before, during, and after Saturday's action.

Tony Grimes

Saw an interesting thing on twitter stating that as many times as he had been to VT he had yet to be spoken to by Fuente. Just another reason his way of running a program baffles me. The only thing I can think of is that if this is true are we putting all our eggs in Isaiah Johnson’s basket??

Hokies seen mostly as an afterthought...

...and justifiably so, for 2021 C Ryan Linthicum:

Hokies have been behind those two for a while (but it had also looked like they might be behind several others as well, and here we are with VT standing int he final three). If his planned visit to Blacksburg comes off - whether this weekend or later in the season - there's a shot.

Pro Football Focus grades from Saturday

Some bad ones that are going to be obvious, some that are a little less so (and I question, to a degree), and some surprising positive grades. With two games that should be reasonably expected as wins - despite last year's ODU outcome, of course - there's time to get a lot of this stuff fine-tuned before a legit opponent again.
