4/19 practice!

Hey guys! So today marks the last time that the media (besides tonight after practice) gets to talk to some of the players and coaches before spring game this Saturday. Here are some brief takeaways:

-- Head coach Justin Fuente made it clear that a starting quarterback will not be named by the end of spring practice. He did note, however, that veteran Brenden Motley was making great strides as a quarterback.
-- When asked about any fights that may have broken out according to a knowing look from fullback Steven Peoples.
-- Tremaine talked a lot about how playing with his siblings and how it was great to have Terrell here with him still. Trey seems to be doing well at Maryland.
-- Xavier Burke noted that he has lost 25 pounds in 2 months or so... he is now down to 258 and would like to get to 255.
-- C.J. Carroll talked a lot about his potential at wide receiver... and how his pre-season meetings with Fuente gave him hope for becoming a vital part of the team and its future.

There's more coverage coming your way very soon!

***INsider: Alpha Diallo Update***

Guys, I just got off the phone with Brewster Academy (NH) four-star small forward Alpha Diallo, No. 110 in the Rivals150. VT just offered him Thursday, since Jalen Hudson's spot has opened up.

Diallo just took an official visit this weekend to Providence. He visited VCU on an official Oct. 23. That one seems to have cooled a bit. Originally from New York City, I think Diallo likes the prospect of playing close to home and in the Big East. He really likes coach Ed Cooley, the main one recruiting him there. Diallo was at the Frairs' team banquet and said he liked the 'vibe' he got there.

I honestly think the Hokies might have gotten in on this one too late. Diallo said he likes the playing style they have and the location, in the ACC, but he didn't want to say anything about coach Buzz Williams. I prefaced our interview saying we wouldn't talk about anything he didn't want to and when I asked him about Buzz, Diallo told me, "I don’t really wanna say. I’ll just say what we’ve talked about."

Diallo is visiting Florida April 25 and if that one goes well, I think he could end up there. Providence is the other favorite of course, since he just came off a positive visit there. It sounds like VT could sneak in with a visit over the next few weeks, but at this point, they have to hope his Florida visit doesn't blow him away.

Combined Videos from Yesterday's RCS: Charlotte

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I posted some of my video highlights from the Charlotte RCS camp. I took a lot more video, and I've combined it all into one easy-to-view upload. Sadly, the slo-motion videos I took did not stay in slo-motion in those uploads, but I've embedded the original tweets below, which are in slo-mo. The mega-video is around 3 and 1/2 minutes.

Jordan Williams OnVT Visit, Top 10

Guys, I caught up with Jordan Williams yesterday at the Charlotte stop of the Rivals Camp Series presented by Under Armour. He doesn't want to name any favorites among his top 10, but based on what he's told me off camera, previous interviews, info from other sources, I'd say VT, Clemson, Tennessee and UVA are at the front in the top 10. Williams walked into camp wearing a Clemson shirt, but had very good things to say about his VT visit on Saturday:
